Based in Melbourne, Australia, OAK Telecom specialises in sales, marketing and consulting and is operated by principals Ing. Kelvin Lillingstone-Hall and a number of Professional Engineer / Communication Consultant / Executive colleagues, ex Telstra.

While providing a wide range of telecommunications services, OAK Telecom specialises in the provision of Broadband WAN networks, VoIP and IP Video to organisations with multiple sites including the homes of selected staff. We work mainly with businesses and government departments headquartered in the State of Victoria, but their offices and work sites linked though their private networks can be anywhere in Australia, or indeed worldwide. This enables us to provide comprehensive ongoing personal and helpful support to our clients. We are, however, happy to work with clients with their HQ anywhere in Australia as needs arise.

OAK Telecom provides you with expert overview consulting to help you assess the telecommunications needs of your business or government department free of charge. We then provide a detailed solution, bringing in expertise from our chosen business partner suppliers as needed, to provide you with an offer for the products and services required. We at OAK Telecom make our income from the sales and marketing margin normally allowed for by the suppliers of the services chosen by our clients. This enables our clients to make informed decisions quickly and with no consulting fees or extra charge on the service charges normally payable by going direct to a supplier. This approach also enables us to provide overview project management support for our customers, free of charge, to ensure the implementation and operation progress smoothly. We often use Web-based monitoring of network services to assist us with this aspect. Detailed consulting projects are also undertaken at fair hourly or project rates where of interest to our clients.

The principals are all professionals with long and distinguished careers in the telecommunications industry in Australia and internationally. Each has specialised in different areas, but all work as a team to present their strengths to our clients.

Kelvin is a Professional Engineer in Telecommunications who had his first career in Telstra for a period of 30 years dating from his graduation from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in Communication Engineering. His experience in Telstra includes microwave system design, transmission planning, corporate planning, business planning, forward network planning and strategic planning for the future directions of Telstra's various networks.

Since 1994 Kelvin has continued to be involved in the fast moving IT&T industry in sales and marketing and in professional engineering consulting for medium to large corporations. He has also specialised in phone savings, internet savings and mobile savings plans for residential and business association groups. He keeps up with the latest developments in all facets of data, voice and video telecommunications.

Tim has had a career in both engineering and marketing with Marconi, Motorola, Telstra and Inmarsat. Since 1997 he has been consulting in the implementation and marketing of telecommunications services, including broadband networking.
